River North luxury hotel pays nod to its British roots with a decadent $1,000 sundae coined "The Victoria"

Pavilion at The Langham, Chicago announces the launch of its new adult ice cream concept, Parlour at the Pavilion, on Wednesday, September 24. Following the hotel's traditional tea service – The Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgewood - Pavilion, located on the second floor of The Langham, will warm guests from the inside out with an extravagant line-up of sundaes and floats designed to evoke the nostalgia of a favorite childhood treat.

Boasting a soaring ceiling and marvelous city view, Pavilion is an elegant space in which to unwind and enjoy the finest flavors created by Executive Pastry Chef Scott Green. Parlour at the Pavilion emulates a vintage-style ice cream parlor with a whimsical staff wearing retro-style uniforms, select homemade ice cream and sorbet flavors, and original water-color concept sketches by Chef Scott Green.

"I based this menu on the flavors and treats I enjoyed as a kid, while also creating unique dessert concepts that spoke to all sorts of audiences – kids and adults," says Chef Scott Green. "Ice cream is a year-round craving and the added alcohol component simply makes it that much more versatile for guests to indulge throughout all seasons."
